Denmark Flexi Arch

The FlexiArch is a patented arch bridge system based on modern precast concrete methods whilst performing like a masonary arch bridge. The system is the result of years of research in the School of Civil Engineering at Queen's University Belfast, and three years of intense development with Macrete, who have provided the commercial, manufacturing and installation expertise.

Macrete Ireland Ltd supplied 4 Flexi Arch bridge spans and associated components for installation atPleasington Golf Club Overbridge, Blackburn . The materials were supplied to the main contractor, Story Contracting Ltd, on behalf of Network Rail.
Macrete Ireland Ltd supplied 14 Flexi Arch bridge units for installation at Ashton Bridge, Tameside, Greater Manchester. The units were jacked into place using hydraulic jacks - this is first ever such application of Flexi Arch technology as reinforcement to existing bridge structures.
