Siddington House Jacked Installation Method - 29 August 2011

Macrete Ireland Ltd were commissioned by Gloucestershire County Council to provide a replacement bridge for Siddington House Bridge on South Cerney Road, south of Cirencester. The existing structure shown below was in a state of despair and was classified as a weak bridge.

This bridge was one of our first contracts, installed in September 2007. The bridge was installed on behalf of Brett Martin at their facility at Mallusk, Belfast. The main contrac tor was F.P. McCann Ltd.

Warrenpoint Wastewater Pumping Station - 10.67m Shafts - 1 July 2013

Macrete Ireland Ltd are currently supplying two new 10.67 metre internal diameter shafts which are being installed by Dawson Wam in Warrenpoint, County Down for Northern Ireland Water.One shaft, fitted with a dividing wall, is a foul and storm pumping station capable of pumping 250 litres per second during storm conditions via 1800 meters of 500mm diameter pumping main constructed within the carriageway towards Warrenpoint wastewater treatment works. The second shaft is a storage tank connected to the pumping station. The combined capacity of the two tanks is more than 800 cubic metres during storm conditions, thus reducing the chances of flooding throughout the town.
Shrewsbury Bio Gas Plant - 02 September 2013

A Macrete concrete storage tank is being deployed as a component of the anaerobic bio-digester/bio-gas plant supplied by AgriKomp UK. The 1,000,000 gallon storage tank is provided for storage of the liquid digestant resulting from the processes of the system.
Cattle Shed - 22 January 2013

Macrete have recently completed supply and installation of agricultural materials to a farm near Omagh, Co. Tyrone.Among the components delivered were 15' Cubicle beds, 8' cubicle beds, 9' gang slats, 4" cubicle end walls, 13' gang slats, 8' gang slats and passage slabs.Macrete had previously constructed a 300,000 gallon slurry store on the property with custom made cover.

Great Yarmouth Harbour - 17 September 2008

Macrete Ireland supplied 408 Nr PCC Wave Wall Units towards the construction of the new outer harbour at Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. The contract consisted of 400 Nr Standard Wall Units, each 5.00m high, with 8 Special Wall Units ranging from 1.60m high to 4.80m high.

Northstone NI - 06 April 2007

Macrete Ireland Limited constructed a 7m x 7m x 2.6m deep Water Tank for Northstone Concrete Division at their Toomebridge Works. The Tank is part of a system which harvests rainwater from the roof of their new Tile manufacturing plant and then recycles it back into the plant for use in the concrete mix.
Pennyburn Pumping Station - 26 January 2007

12.5m I.D. Smoothbore Shaft Rings were supplied to Dawson Wam to construct a Pumping Station in Pennyburn. The method shown here is "underpinning" where a 1m depth of ground is excavated, a segmental ring builtand grout pumped behind the ring. The process continues until the desired depth is reached.
Salmons Brook Culvert

Macrete Ireland Ltd recently supplied PCC arched culvert units to Salmons Brook culvert, Edmonton, north London.The unit dimensions were 3.500m x 2.900m x 2.000m. The main contractor was Volker Stevin Ltd on behalf of Network Rail.As you can see from these pictures, the site team had to overcome significant weather and ground water conditions in order to install the units.
Edinburgh to Glasgow Route Clearance - Carmuirs Tunnel Reconstruction

Macrete Ireland recently supplied 10nr cill beams, 36nr portal units and 33nr canal walls to the ongoing work on the EGIP package. The materials were supplied to BAM Nuttall Ltd on behalf of Network Rail.The deliveries took place over the Christmas and New Year period and the BAM site team overcame significant weather challenges to deliver the works on time.

Macrete Ireland Ltd supplied 6 Nr precast concrete standard cill beams and 16 Nr precast concrete composite deck beams for the reconstruction of Hoole Road bridge in Chester. The bridge is a 15 span Victorian era viaduct, the components manufactured by Macrete were for the replacement of spans 6 & 10.
