The contract requirements were 25 Nr precast concrete culvert units c/w corresponding inlet and outlet units. The contract value was £210,000 approx. The work was done was behalf of the principle contractor Alfred McAlpine plc.

The possession dates on this contract were critical for the success of the overall project, due to line closures and the Christmas break. Macrete are pleased to say that they achieved these targets, as is reflected in the words of Andy Sorley - McAlpine Project Manager
"Thanks very much for your successful supply of the culvert units for the sites at Rhosog & Wentloog just prior to Christmas.The main units were lifted into position during the Christmas blockade and it only remains now for the southern headwalls to be lifted into place over the weekend of 12th/13th January."
