Cockermouth to Whitehaven Bypass, Cumbria

The Units,designed by the Reinforced Earth Company, comprise 20 female units and 21 male units forming a 52m long x 6.5m ID tunnel which will provide a cycle path crossing beneath the highway.

The tunnel is being constructed in the open and will be back-filled by the road construction which will pass over it.
