Boscombe - Pier of the Year 2010 - 07 October 2010

The newly restored pier at Boscombe has been voted Pier of the Year 2010 by the National Piers Society. Boscombe pier, which has previously been described as “one of the coolest piers in the country” by UK designer Wayne Hemingway, beat 10 others shortlisted in the annual poll of the Society’s 600 members

South Coast Sea Defence - 19 August 2009

 
Macrete (Ireland) Ltd is in the process of supplying 1700 custom made pre-cast concrete Revetment Step Units for a £30 million Environment Agency sea defence improvement scheme currently being implemented along 2.2km of the Kent Coast between High Knocke and Dymchurch, for which the Main Contractor is Birse Coastal.*

Great Yarmouth Harbour - 17 September 2008

 
Macrete Ireland supplied 408 Nr PCC Wave Wall Units towards the construction of the new outer harbour at Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. The contract consisted of 400 Nr Standard Wall Units, each 5.00m high, with 8 Special Wall Units ranging from 1.60m high to 4.80m high.
