Macrete has supplied segmental linings to numerous prestigious projects in the UK, Ireland and abroad, references are available on request.

Macrete with its experience and technical ability are a major supplier of segmental lining rings for shafts and tunnels. With superior workmanship and high quality moulds a great finish is achieved and performance is guaranteed. Standard bolted and smoothbore segments are normally available ex-stock. Tapered trapezoidal gasketted systems are also supplied to high specification tolerances.

Concrete Pipe Systems

Macrete have catered for the pipe industry for many years and offer a wealth of experience within this sector. Our pipes range in size from 450mm diameter up to 2100mm diameter. Dependant on size of order, other pipe size diameters may be available.

Steel Banded Jacking Pipe Systems

Manufactured to comply with BS 5911:Part 1:2002, our sizes range from 600mm diameter to 2100mm diameter, and are available with steel banded or in-wall joints as required.

Warrenpoint Wastewater Pumping Station - 10.67m Shafts - 1 July 2013

Macrete Ireland Ltd are currently supplying two new 10.67 metre internal diameter shafts which are being installed by Dawson Wam in Warrenpoint, County Down for Northern Ireland Water.One shaft, fitted with a dividing wall, is a foul and storm pumping station capable of pumping 250 litres per second during storm conditions via 1800 meters of 500mm diameter pumping main constructed within the carriageway towards Warrenpoint wastewater treatment works. The second shaft is a storage tank connected to the pumping station. The combined capacity of the two tanks is more than 800 cubic metres during storm conditions, thus reducing the chances of flooding throughout the town.

Northstone NI - 06 April 2007

Macrete Ireland Limited constructed a 7m x 7m x 2.6m deep Water Tank for Northstone Concrete Division at their Toomebridge Works. The Tank is part of a system which harvests rainwater from the roof of their new Tile manufacturing plant and then recycles it back into the plant for use in the concrete mix.

Pennyburn Pumping Station - 26 January 2007

12.5m I.D. Smoothbore Shaft Rings were supplied to Dawson Wam to construct a Pumping Station in Pennyburn. The method shown here is "underpinning" where a 1m depth of ground is excavated, a segmental ring builtand grout pumped behind the ring. The process continues until the desired depth is reached.

Scottish Shaft Installation - 27 January 2009

Macrete Ireland Ltd supplied Smoothbore Shaft Rings for the 12.50m shaft in Paisley, Scotland, pictured below. The shaft is being constructed by ASG Civil Engineering Ltd, Glasgow. Macrete Ireland are also manufacturing a 12.50m cover slab to suit.
