Macrete Ireland Ltd is pleased to announce their association with the recently completed DBFO road upgrading schemes at Newry and Dungannon.

Over the contract period of 2 ½ years Macrete Ireland Ltd supplied various types and lengths of pre-stressed concrete bridge beams. These beams were supplied to the main contractor Lagan Ferrovial jv for installation on 15 structures across all schemes.

Macrete Ireland Ltd also supplied over 13,000m2 of Reinforced Earth Terraquad panels to various structures across all schemes. These panels were supplied to Lagan Ferrovial jv on behalf of RECo UK Ltd.

The DBFO package of works comprised three schemes –

Scheme 1 – the upgrade of the existing A1 between Sprucefield and Cloghogue, including a new by-pass at Newry.

Scheme 2 – the upgrade of the existing A1 between Sprucefield and Loughbrickland.

Scheme 3 – the upgrade and dualling of the existing A4 between Dungannon and Ballygawley.
